Kayla & Alex’s Romantic London Elopement at Islington Town Hall
Some love stories circle right back to where they began, and for Kayla and Alex, that place was London.
Although they now live in Boston, the couple once called Islington home, spending three years here in the early days of their relationship.
So when it came time to choose where to say “I do”, the decision was easy. They flew across the pond for a small, intimate Islington Town Hall wedding – just the two of them, surrounded not by guests, but by the city that holds so many of their memories.
It was the most beautiful Monday morning in July and honestly, what better way to start the week than by getting married at one of the most iconic London registry offices?
Standing inside Islington Town Hall’s elegant Canonbury Suite, Kayla and Alex held hands and exchanged heartfelt, personal vows that had them both grinning from ear to ear.
After signing the register and sealing the deal with a kiss, we captured some beautiful portraits in the iconic hallway and on the grand marble staircase – two of my favourite spots as an Islington Town Hall wedding photographer – before stepping outside into a joyful flurry of pastel confetti.
Next came the champagne — popped with such enthusiasm that bubbles and laughter filled the air. Then it was into a classic London black cab, bouquet in hand, ready to explore the city for more photographs.
